Hazard Reduction Systems, in cooperation with the Cal Tech and other organizations, has designed this Portal as a resource for Southern California K-12 School Administrators and Educators.

Our objectives are to:

Increase the overall awareness that earthquakes are an ongoing risk to the safety of staff and students, and the ongoing operation of California Schools
Deliver timely updates and tools to help school staff manage the Earthquake Risk
Present solutions for system continuity and resilience than can minimize service issues and speed a return to normal operations in the days following a quake
Build a community of professionals that will become earthquake preparedness advocates for SoCal Teachers and Students
